The May/June 2008 edition of Legendary Ford Magazine shows its TRUE COLORS. We've got a spectacular line-up of feature cars this issue, all proud as a peacock. We kick things off with a 1970 F-100 Pickup, in Grabber Blue. Yep, that actually was a real available color in '70. This is one sweet truck, and the best thing about it? It's only sporting 359 original miles! Pretty much brand new - a wonderful showcase of a bone stock truck, showing just how FoMoCo built 'em back then. Next up is a 1955 Ford Mainline in Waterfall Blue. Finding one of these beauties in unmolested form is a feat in itself. Ours is a stunner from Florida - as good as it gets. LFM #22 also showcases a '73 Mustang Hardtop in Medium Bright Yellow. It's a Q-Code 351 all original car, still owned by the same folks who purchased it new back in '73! Representing this issue's musclecar category is a Cardinal Red '68 Cougar GT-E (427 powered), also from Florida. Check it out in all its glory starting on page 50. It's also our poster car, a full 23" wide. Rounding out the feature cars this issue is a '77 Mercury Grand Marquis in Tu-Tone Jade. A land yacht that barely fits on the pages of this magazine!

In Code Cracker, John Rotella recalls when Ford played with people's emotions by offering a multitude of color choices. Rick Schmidt of National Parts Depot also shares his recollections of Ford's color palette of years gone by. They sure don't paint 'em like they used to!

Tech includes Part 2 of the Cool Runnin' A/C install, Cheap Engine Bay Detailing 101, and a primer on radiators and cooling systems. There's far too much more in this issue to list here. Be sure to order your subscription to check it all out, or hit your closest major bookstore.

What's coming down the pike? Sassy Sixes, that's what. The July/August '08 issue of Legendary Ford will focus on those wonderful (and so often forgotten) 6 cylinder cars that truly were a major part of the auto industry. Our feature car line-up is a well-diversified gang that includes a '68 Montego Convertible (yes, they came with a "6"!), a '65 Mustang, a '64 Falcon, and a '62 Galaxie.

Tech will include a sweet install on a brand new exhaust system developed specifically for '67-'70 Mustang, an educational feature on bumpers for your Ford, and an LFM "Do-it-Yourself" piece on the ins and outs of interior door sealing.

They'll be some event coverage, getting into the Project F-Bird, drag racing a '57 Ford, and TONS MORE all Ford stuff.

As of this web update, there may be a Boss 429 lurking in this issue as well - for now, we'll list that one as a "maybe".
